Digestive System Illnesses
Within the digestive system is the intestinal tract which begins at the mouth and ends with the anus. In between are the stomach and the large and small intestines. The digestive system is responsible for giving the body all the nutrients it needs to function properly. Actually, the responsibility lies with you and me as well. It manifests itself through inflammation usually in the small or large intestine. One experiences bouts of diarrhea, pain in the abdomen, lack of appetite and weight-loss. This condition has been mostly attributed to consumption of excess sugar in the diet. Intolerance to some types of food might also trigger this condition.
