Why Do We Have So Many Digestion Problems?
There are many reasons why we can have so many digestion problems – allergies to a certain foods, food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies brought on by a poor diet of too much processed food and not nearly enough high quality food. Here we’ll look at possible reasons we have so many of these problems and a thing or two we can do to avoid and then prevent some of them.
But why so many digestion problems?
If we compare ourselves today to our ancient ancestors it’s easy to see the things we are exposed to that they never were: pollution, pesticides, additives, preservatives, artificial flavoring agents. All these things and more, that we ingest into our body on a daily basis.
Add to that a lack of physical exercise, the stress many of us face related to work, careers, family and finance, it’s no wonder so many of us have digestive problems.
A good bet diet is the answer
If our ancestors had less digestive disorders than we do then a diet modification may help many of us, and it’s not all about changing everything we eat, but sometimes it’s simply omitting a few of the more obvious things.
Good bacteria, bad bacteria
Our digestive health is all about the balance of bacteria in our gut, where there is good and beneficial bacteria living along side bad and dangerous bacteria. The good bacteria must stay stronger and overpopulate the bad. To make this happen we must support it by eating foods that have the necessary nutrients to do so.
On the other hand, when we eat junk food and a lot of refined sugars we are feeding and supporting the bad bacteria. One simple thing to do for a step in the right direction in giving the good bacteria an advantage is to starve the bad guys a little bit with less sugar in your diet. Conversely, eating more prebiotics will feed the beneficial bacteria and promote their growth, giving you a much better chance for better digestive health.
What are prebiotics?
Prebiotics are nutrients found in certain foods we eat; fruits, vegetables, unrefined grains. Prebiotics are what our good gut bugs need to not only survive but dominate the intestinal tract and keep the dangerous bacteria at bay.
Soluble fiber
There are a few different types of dietary fiber but the prebiotic one known as soluble fiber is the one that plays a major role in digestive health. The reason it’s the prebiotic fiber is that it does not get digested anywhere in the digestive system but ends up in the colon (large intestine) where it will ferment.
This fermentation process will do two things: one, it feeds the good bacteria, two, it inhibits the bad bacteria’s ability to grow and cling to the intestinal wall, where it can do a lot of damage, including colon cancer. Getting more soluble fiber alone can help colon function and possibly prevent common digestion problems such as constipation and intestinal pain among others.
The problem with digestive aids and supplements
Most people go about using digestive aids or supplements all wrong. For example, if one has constipation they may buy a laxative product. If heartburn is the problem they may buy an acid reflux medication. These products can only provide temporary relief when the symptom comes up, but do nothing to fix the problem at it’s root cause.
A supplement that fixes digestion problems, not just mask the symptoms
Any one would prefer to fix digestion problems for good as opposed to simply temporarily masking a symptom. Now it can be done by taking one capsule a day of Kiwi-Klenz. This product is 100% natural, and is made from the kiwifruit, which contains more nutrients than any other fruit.
Kiwi-Klenz is different from other prebiotic supplements because it contains not only the important dietary fibers, but also the wide range of vitamins and minerals from this nutrient-dense fruit that is also loaded with phenolic compounds and digestive enzymes.
Don’t forget, many of the kiwifruit’s nutrients are found in it’s skin. This is one of the reasons Kiwi-Klenz is so powerful, other kiwifruit powders available simply don’t incorporate the skin into the manufacturing process.
