Bimuno Prebiotic Supplements
While searching for good, natural digestive supplements Bimuno came up as a good sounding product and option for what we were looking for. Preferring to not take any drugs I always look for all-natural products. I’ve learned over the years there are very few companies who use 100% natural products in everything they manufacture so I’m always a little skeptical and now insist on reading every products ingredients.
To say your digestive system’s health is important is an understatement. First of all, your gut is responsible for around 60% of your body’s total immune system. Many uncomfortable and even fatal health symptoms have their beginnings in the digestive system. Symptoms many of us experience like bloating, bad gas, back pain, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, indigestion, acne, lack of energy and many others.
There is a lot going on in our digestive system, with more cells there than the rest of the entire body. Much of the way we feel health-wise has to do with the balance of good bacteria and the bad bacteria. When the scales tip in favor of the bad something negative will start to manifest out of it.
The good news is we can actually control the bacterial balance through our diet. Although probiotic supplements have gotten popular recently there is much evidence now that they fall short of providing the digestive health with what was expected of them. Scientists have discovered that for probiotics to work to their full potential they need prebiotics to feed them.
Prebiotic supplements such as Bimuno work to keep a good bacterial balance in your digestive system to help everything work at a peak level and strengthening your immune system. This can help keep away some of the nasty symptoms mentioned earlier and even the more severe and even dangerous ones.
Problem I had with researching Bimuno is the lack of straight-forward information on a simple ingredients list. They mention things like “pastille products” and “patent-protected, galacto-oligosaccharide formulation” “technologically advanced prebiotic” “Bimuno is a food supplement of natural origin” but they don’t mention the actual ingredients. It does mention however that they use gelatin, either as an ingredient or in the capsules.
Not finding an ingredient list on the website we contacted the company and finally received an email listing the ingredients they use in Bimuno:
- glucose syrup
- thickener (gum arabic)
- acidity regulator (trisodium citrate)
The Bimuno pastilles’ ingredients are:
- glazing agent (coconut oil vegetable fats carnauba wax)
- Bimuno Syrup (Galacto-oligosaccharides glucose galactoselactose)
Looking at more recent reports we learned that the highest and purest quality prebiotics were being found in the kiwifruits, specifically the ones from New Zealand. But some companies are making supplement powders from kiwi’s and will actually use chemicals and solvents in the process.
Some of the problems with this are obvious but nutritional content specifically the enzymes, are damaged or completely destroyed from the high heat involved in this process.
MX Kiwi Biotic – The New Discovery
That brings us to a brand new product called MX Kiwi Biotic which is made by Maxalife from New Zealand. The more I find out about this company the more I like them. They claim to have a unique and proprietary processing system which can extract all the good stuff from the kiwi using nothing except water. Even the capsules are vegetarian so there’s no gelatins, no chemicals, and no fillers.
The proven benefits of prebiotics are many and they can be bought as a supplement as well as getting the right foods into our body. Foods that contain prebiotics are fruits, vegetables, grains nuts, and seeds. A few manufacturers have caught onto the high content prebiotic fiber benefit of the kiwifruit.
When you think about it, we take a different products for every symptom: an antacid tablet for heartburn, allergy pill for stuffy sinus, cold medicine for runny nose, probiotic supplements for a healthier digestion system. Now we do it all with just one.
Kiwi Biotic is the only 100% natural digestive supplement we’ve found
